John Higgins has now equalled Jimmy White appearance of 27 between (1982-2010) the Record is 28 held by Steve Davis (1981-2008)

John should equal Steve's record then. Even break it.

John's record is far more impressive because he hasn't had to rely on receiving any wildcards to get there.

this match should be interesting. Higgins looked to be in good form at the CL but Allen is such a dangerous player. And if he plays well he can go all the way.

Would be funny if Allen won a second Masters before Judd.

Allen is very hit and miss, he either has spells when he's in bad form, or suddenly he plays out of his skin to win a tournament, like he did at the CoC this season.

If I remember rightly, Allen plays pretty well against Higgins so it should be a good match.

Allen has a leading H2H against Selby,Trump and Higgins. And against Ronnie and Robbo its close. He always does well against the best players but hasnt really won much (titles). Quite strange.

Yeah, for as talented as he is, a return of just 5 ranking titles, one Masters and the CoC shows that he's a massive underachiever.

Allen's main problem is his inconsistency.

I think this would be Ronnie's 28th Masters appearance, if he hadn't skipped a few along the way...
