Yes I had a ticket for the Masters, even though I prefer multi-table events. So far no news on refunds, but I expect that will come soon.

From what Barry has said, it looks like there will be no spectators at events for the remainder of the season, except possibly in the Crucible theatre. That means another 4 months of the Marshall arena.

I'm not holding out much hope for The Crucible in 2022, let alone the next one.

Will there ever be another Crucible again?

I just saw this.

I don't know why they didn't announce this before. They decided weeks ago there was going to be no fans there. And the tournaments immediately after are all going to be in MK anyway. Seemed a lot of effort to move everything to the Ally Pally for a one off.

Olympics about to move to Milton Keynes.
I don't know the situation in Qatar, MK must prepare hosting the Fifa WC.

Some people may have said that about the WC too.

Even more so, as nobody is there.

This is far more concerning than the event being held in Milton Keynes is.

Yep, second biggest tournament on the calendar being sponsor-less is a big cause for concern.

World Snooker have enough money to cover prize funds this season but you’d think someone with Hearn’s business acumen would be able to find a sponsor for the Masters of all tournaments.

Dafabet. Obviously betting companies have taken a big hit over the last year and it’s highlighted snooker’s over-reliance on them. Something that World Snooker have apparently been aware of for a while but seemingly unable to rectify.

Can’t wait for these future tournaments:

AstraZeneca World Championships
Pfizer-BioNTech Masters
Lloyds Pharmacy Indian Open

Oh. Thought that was sponsored by the World.
