Postby Pink Ball

Eddie Charlton v Shaun Murphy (Best of 20 frames)
Group: A
Date: November 20
Match: Two of six
Match day: One of three
Venue: Tower Circus, Blackpool, United Kingdom

Vote for which of the two players you think was greater. Vote honestly, and leave your bias out of it. Don’t vote for a player just because you like them, don’t vote against a player just because you dislike them.

Consider the table conditions to be whatever conditions would have the least impact on the result.

You can use your own personal criteria for measuring greatness once it’s free of any bias towards/against (delete as applicable) players you like/dislike (delete as applicable).

Interesting match-up this.

If they faced each other in 100 matches, I wouldn't be surprised if Charlton grounded Murphy down more often than not.

But the question, simply, is which of the two of them were greater. Murphy isn't a bad match-up for Charlton, but against all other opposition, you'd back Murphy to get the better results overall.

Every time I go to vote on this one it's either a draw or one vote off being a draw, so I don't vote on it because my desire for this one is for it to be a draw.

So can you use managerial control to assume I've made it a draw if there's only one vote in it, as I have no idea when you're going to close the poll in order to make the last split second vote to ensure it's a draw.

Voting closes slightly after midnight.

In relation to whether or not I’ll count your vote if one is between them at the end, it’s a no.
