Matchroom.Live English Open Semi-Finals!!!

Monday 12th ~ Sunday 18th of October at The Marshal Arena, Milton Keynes

Stellar line-up we have for the Semi-Finals, between the four players we have an amazing 83 ranking event titles.

First up it's defending champion Mark Selby up against Neil Robertson, both with 18 ranking event titles each.

Then in the evening we have WN1 Judd Trump up against rival John Higgins, the latter who seems to be finding his best form.

Who shall book their place in the Final and be one match away from the Steve Davis trophy?

That’s far from interesting <laugh>

More interesting (and still not all that interesting) is that one Ronnie O’Sullivan isn’t that far off the four players’ cumulative Triple Crowns. Equal in Masters, one less UK, three fewer Worlds. And that’s compared to four of the best players there have ever been.

That was my first thought, too. But I found the gaps between Ronnie and the rest to be more compelling at the level of 4 Ronnies vs. 1...

It's a great line-up no doubt.

I think the favourites will actually lose, I mean Selby and Trump. So we'll have a Robbo v Higgins final.

A decent lineup in terms of the snooker on the table. As far as their personalities go though, I don't think you can find four more detestable characters in the sport of snooker.

Is it though? Selbo is like watching a child die, but that’s not to say that Higgins or Pythagoras are fun to watch. Oh God, they are not.

Wowww!,what a cracking semis line up!.


Four top 8 players,four BIG boys in the semis of a Ranking tourney!,wonder when the last time that happened. :chin:



I was well wrong with my predictions in the Trump/G.Wilson and Ronnie/Stevens matches. :emb: ,so,i,ll take a wee break from predicting atm.

But come to thinking bout it,I guess i could ask good old Pinkball,he,s excellent at predictions. ;-) <laugh>
