Alex Higgins against just about everybody really. He remarked at one stage that he would rather have a beer with Idi Amin than with Steve Davis. Davis was always far too classy to respond to such nonsense.

I imagine Idi would have been happier with that arrangement too.

I think the sight of Amin and Higgins sat with a couple of vodkas would have caused ripples in the players lounge.

Idi turned him down. Then went out on the lash with Terry Griffiths instead.

In fairness to Idi, snooker has never been that big in Uganda.
