Don't think that's a warning, but a reminder. If it happened again he would indeed be warned.

However, if it was his opponent's shot, then yes the referee should warn the offending player.

eckhardt said it was an "official warning", and next time would be docked a frame. funny thing it sounded like the alarm clock, so he must have set it himself. maybe to remind him he had a match?

earlier in the week there was a player, think it was one of the young chinese, who had his phone by his chair and was told he had to leave it under the table switched off or take it out the arena. it didn't go off though. i thought they would just leave them in the dressing room.

All the Chinese players get told to put their mobile phones under the table, you'll usually see it before every match. I don't think they do have dressing rooms do they? The Chinese players probably wouldn't want to be separated from their phones, especially if they aren't confident with their English.

maybe even if it's only a shared one. depends on the venue and how many tables they're utilising i suppose.

outrageous fluke for white on the pink there. he's 2-1 down and out the competitions now. but if he wins the next frame he'll be giving a big mid autumn festival present for yan bingtao. if not jordan brown is through.

This shitty tournament just got even shittier.

Why, did you decide to post more?

Cant say i disagree with him on this not seen any of it for reasons we all know

So, you agree that Ronnie pulling out makes this tournament worse, despite your reasons for not enjoying it having nothing to do with Ronnie?

Got it.

yea id love to see him locked up for a few days without that the event is shitty.

Yes, Yan Bingtao was relying on Michael White to take one of those many chances he had. You don't want to be relying on Michael White...

If Marcel said it was an "official warning" then yes next time this happened he would be docked a frame.

But sometimes people confuse "warning" with "friendly reminder or a word". I give you one example: a player can punch the table, and the referee tells him not to do it again, otherwise he would be warned.

But other times the warning comes without a friendly word, namely a player saying a swear word.

one frame left for lines and williams.

if lines wins he's though. if wins with a break of 122 or more he tops the group. otherwise it's tian pengnfei.

Group H

Oliver Lines (needs 1 frame)
Robbie Williams (needs 1 frame with a 123+ break)
Tian Pengfei (needs Robbie Williams to win the Match without making a 123)

If Williams makes a 122 Tian goes through because he has made a 109 break

Re: BetVictor Championship League Stage one !!

Postby Wildey

Robbie Williams failed on 36 so now hes out of contention So 1 frame to see if Oliver or Tian goes through this frame is still worth £1,000 to Robbie so still got something to play for.

Well done to him. He continued to try his best even though he couldn't win the group. It's a weakness in the format that means players depend on others' results.

Tough group for Judd Trump, he had Ryan Day and Barry Hawkins in his group back in June during the 2nd phase, he lost 3-0 to Ryan Day, time for revenge perhaps?
