Ronnie Raises An Interesting Question

Postby shanew48

The question being could he in fact beat a fellow professional with one arm and one leg? no way! I hear you say, well lets flesh this out and give it some context before you so hastily dismiss this notion.

Picture the scene, it's the shoot out, Ronnie is drawn against Andy Lee (who for my money is the worst current professional) they play last on on a Saturday night so the crowd are very raucous, Ronnie announced that he would be playing with only one hand at one leg weeks previously so the anxiety has been building up in Andy for a fair few weeks now (The rules are that Ronnie can walk around the table normally but when he gets down to play any shot he must only have one leg touching the ground and he must have one hand behind his back)

Betfair would most probably make Ronnie second favourite but I think he could pull it off.

So, what do you think? now that you have a bit of context?

Regardless of who would win or not, neither player would agree to it as they would find it disrespectful to the other if they won and Ronnie hasn't really been a guy (and never looks like being one) for doing exhibitions or increased challenge matches

Andy Lee would agree surely? quite frankly he could do with the prize money and ranking points! if he didn't back himself to beat someone playing with one arm and one leg then you would have to question his self belief surely?

Maybe, but then people would make fun of his supposed lack of ability to beat a fully enabled Ronnie O'Sullivan mercilessly, until/unless he actually did it

Obviously I wasn't saying it would ever actually happen but hypothetically if it did it would be worth tuning in for thats for sure and would prove Ronnie right that he could beat a fellow professional using just one arm and one leg.
