Guess we'll find out soon. And yes, how crazy that 3 players who are doing well under the rolling rankings are supporting this EGM.

what it means is its ironic that the players backing the EGM is the players that has benefited more than anyone with how the new system under the current board has worked.

Remember the EGM has been called o boot out the board members who where not voted in by the players. This is not against Hearn who is safe in World snooker limited.

From what I have read its because the 3 board members where drafted in by Hearn rather than voted in by the players? I think they are claiming that the board members are too close to Hearn, 'puppets' if you like.

I think it's good. If it was three players who'd been stuffed by the rankings, the EGM would be dismissed as whinging by out of form players. The fact that it's backed by three guys heading in the right direction suggests they have genuine grievances beyond their own personal gain.

but what is the grievance ?
giving snooker players a vote of any kind is and has been to the detriment of the sport for donkeys.
thank god they voted for hearn but are they so desperate to vote on anything has it become a uncontrolled disease within them that every month they got to vote on something or other before the withdrawals set in.
ok the current board wasn't voted in but what have they done wrong maybe they wanted Higgins banned for life ? thats the only major issue the current WPBSA Board has been involved in since they in the job.

I guess they tell us that at the EGM
I agree you don't want the players in charge, having players run a sport never works, but you can't leave them completely out in the cold either, they have to be able to feel they have an input. Otherwise they go off and form their own organisation and refuse to play for you any more.

Strange how the draw for EPTC3 is out before PTC6.
PTC 6 is starting week Tomorrow if there's qualifying to be played.

Just notices Quarter Finalist and Last 32 in EPTC gets 100 less points than in Sheffield PTC.
they use the 2000 euros from that to pay the Finalist and Winner in the Plate Competition.

Do the players have to pay to get there and accomodation or is it all inclusive as part of being a proffessional player?

I just texted Colm wishing him well. He's playing well so he texted back & he's up for it. He's playing a fella he knows well so with a bit of good fortune, he'll have a bit of a run.

Im just looking at the calendar in snooker scene latest edition and theres a good chance for some young unknown names to do well in EPTC4 as power snooker is on, on that weekend, so the likes of murphy, selby, ronnie wont be entering.

So Ronnie better get his finger out and play in EPTC 3, 5 and 6 or he will miss out on the finals.
