Conspiracy theories
No conspiracy here. The NHS is being dismantled and privatised, awarding the contracts to Tory supporters' companies. I know, because I work with someone who was Boris's right-hand man for 8 years. The old boys network is thriving.
But thanks for the insult. That's what it is now isnt it? An insult. If you dare to doubt the mainstream media's line you are a tin foil wearing idiot.
Sorry if I’m wrong but you seemed to be suggesting that Brexit and Coronavirus are deliberate attempts to distract us while “the rich guys hand themselves to the till.” Brexit I could just about buy, but not coronavirus.
That the government are handing contracts to Tory supporters isn’t outrageous, I’d be amazed if that wasn’t true. But it’s not what you said.

Let's talk about the format for Barry Hearn's proposed event.
If he's looking for 64 players, are we thinking groups of 8 players, 7 matches each?

OK thanks, that makes slightly more sense. Three rounds of groups-of-4. That will mean in total 21 groups have to be played in the 11 days. So if they are playing best-of-5 (as in CL) we could be looking at two tables, with two groups per day to be completed. They could play each group in parallel on two tables, which would mean getting the 4 players in and out in half-a-day, before the next batch of 4 players.

Is this considered to be an acceptable thing to say on a snooker forum?

Probably not an acceptable thing to say on any forum these days but many will agree.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with this. Certainly a good idea to have trial event to see what needs to be put in place for future tournaments such as the World Championship if that as seems likely is going to either need to be played behind closed doors or with a reduced crowd.
