Worst than losing the 1994 and 1984 World Finals.

Hendry played very well to win 10 frames on the spin, but he should have never got the chance to do that in the first place, as White bottled it at 14-8 up.

The second afternoon session of the final is one of the best sessions you'll ever see.

Hendry did super well to get out of that session at 4-4, giving himself a chance in the evening. Total self-belief from Hendry coupled with doubts from White meant that Hendry won it as much in the mind as on the table.

It was the one final he was in complete control of.

The frames from 14-8 to 14-12 killed White. He could have won all of them. Up until then he had played the best snooker anyone had ever played in in a World Final. in fact since then only Hendry (93) and Higgins (98) have played better in a World Final.

And please don't tell me Davis played better in 89 because Parrott was atrocious in that match. I am not buying it.

None of those performances you mention were the best in a world final. Trump’s last year was. Let’s not bull ourselves about how things were better in the good old days.

Easier conditions. Like comparing Grand National fences today with those in the 70s.

Oh, I know conditions were easier as much as anyone. Trump’s performance was still better.
