Wish there were comms
There was commentary on Eurosport 2.
A bit of needle as they say during the Alfie Burden/Xiao Guodong match.
https://twitter.com/ABOFLONDON/status/1 ... 63232?s=20According to some of the replies Xiao has previous in a match against Liang too.
I watched the whole match live, sitting behind Burden. I think he's out of order with that. He's just complaining because he lost - he's had previous, as they say.
In fact, I thought the opposite. There were several times where he got out of his seat and started walking to the table during Xiao's shot, in one case when Xiao was clearing up to win on the black. He was probably visible and Xiao might have missed the black.
25 years as a pro should teach him not to seek recriminations on twitter after losing a match.

I didn’t realise the crown would be on TC winners’ waistcoats for all tournaments.

Burden doesn't look great with this episode.

Yes, and Burden's followers on Twitter don't look great, with a few hints of violence.
My name's Lewis, btw.

And some casual racism thrown in for good measure.

So, you don't think that Alfie Burden will be challenge Joe Perry for the title of Gentleman then?

Looks like Zhou Yuelong is giving Mark Willaims a stern test.

Burden's retiring at the end of the season. Probably his last time playing at this stage in a major tournament.

It's the 11+
Mark Williams is still hungover from his Crucible celebrations, and is finding it tough.

Zhou missing too many. He'll probably need a birthday present from Willo

Thanks for all the updates, man.
I'm doing this by looking at live scores.

You think Chrismas is between the 12th and the 19th of January? Are you Orthodox?

If Mark Williams wins this, he'll have to play his bezzie mate Jackson Page.

Pretty cool if it is.
Makes the 'Triple Crown' status even more recognised and whilst I don't think any players need extra motivations for those events it's nice.
How many players still 'on tour' have won all three anyway?

I thought it would just be at the TCs themselves.
I’m not sure how I feel about the ‘Triple Crown’ being legitimised by the tour.
