Yes, it's a bit of a fanboy article.
I would have liked a 'young player of the year' also, but perhaps that's coming. His 'highs of the year' didn't mention that Yan Bingtao's Riga Masters win was the only tournament win by a teenager in the 2010's.

Fair point - did not know Yan was the only teenager to win in the 2010s

Fair point - did not know Yan was the only teenager to win in the 2010s
I really think it's important to try and encourage and promote the young players. I regard Trump as being in mid-career, not a young player. Snooker will have a crisis in 5-10 years unless some of them come through.
