Challenge Tour is back this time with 10 events and a end of season play off to find 2 players to compete on the World Snooker tour for the next 2 seasons.

How it will work is there will be a series of tournaments that take place during the 2019/2020 season. The top player in the final Order of Merit will earn a two-year card to the World Snooker Tour for 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons. The next eight players in the Order of Merit will then go into a play-off event, with the winner of that event to receive the second Tour Card.

Although many herenot very interested the show goes on and Challange Tour 2 will be played in Newbury.

Leading the order of merit is Ka Wai Cheung of Hong Kong with Englands Oliver Brown in second spot.

Neither have entered Event 2 so the door is open for someone else to make their Mark.

Who will win this one?

Some chap called Jake Nicholson won the 2nd event prompting World Snooker to use some Jack Nicholson films in their summary such as As Good As it Gets and A Few Good Men

Judd will be pleased.

Do you have some sort of obsession with Judd.

I am worried about you man

No obsession. Just acknowledging the fact that Judd will be happy to see his nemesis not doing so well.

event five was postponed a couple weeks back due to a leaky roof.

but event six has been completed. oliver brown wins in budapest beating former pro ashley hugill in the final.

hugill closes the gap to pagett at the top of the standings to just 75 points.

Final of event event 8 in Tamworth underway. German former pro Lukas Kleckers will be favourite against young Welsh.Tyler Rees.

Kleckers did win in the end, 3-1. He jumps up to second in the rankings 225 points behind Andrew Pagett. Looking like those two will fight it our for the automatic tour slot as third placed Ashley Hugill is already back on the tour via the WSF Open, and fourth placed Dean Young is 1,500 points further back with only three events to play.

ashley hugill fresh off his wsf open title wins event 9 beating sydney wilson 3-1 in the final. becoming the first repeat winner this season, with that he moves into top spot on the rankings, but that is of no matter as he already has a tour slot for next year.

young robbie mcguigan moved in to the play-off spots with a semi final run, leap frogging adam duffy. with the rest as you were. with two events to play.

currently andreww pagett will get the automatic card.

play-offs are:
lukas kleckers, dean young, oliver brown, ka wai cheung, jake nicholson, patrick whelan, rory mcleod, and robbie mcguigan.

Back to Back events this week will bring the Challange Tour series to an end for another year apart from a 8 man play off event

Of the players that are in Position only these 3 have been on the tour before discounting Ashley Hugill who has qualified anyway-
Andrew Pagett 5 years between 2008-2015
Lukas Kleckers 2 years between 2017-2019
Rory Mcleod 25 years between 1991-2019
