The only thing Yan Bingtao will dominate is the buffet cart, if his current waistline is anything to go by.

The next Stephen Lee in the making perhaps?

Worth noting that this week marked only the 2nd time Yan made it as far as the QF, since losing the Final of the NI Open to Mark Williams.

Also worth noting that his path to victory this week required him to beat Rod Lawler, Alan McManus, Chen Zifan, Li Hang, Matthew Selt, and Mark Joyce. Not exactly top competition...

Doesn’t matter. He’s got his breakthrough. It’s a massive mental barrier smashed.

Kind of making a mockery everytime Trump wins a tournament.

Yep, he is a ranking event winner and nobody can take that away from him. I believe if he wins his heldover qualification match in China he goes into the Top 16 provisionally.

Meanwhile, others who have been there or thereabouts at the business end of tournaments over the last year like Lisowski and Gilbert are still waiting for one..

He is currently 18 at Crucible ranking, tied with ... Ding.
He may be chinese #1 soon.

Around £25000 behind #16 and last in (the taxi driver).

He is provisionally world number 1 for the 21/22 season with Mark Joyce second

Mark Joyce's mum coming up at number 3, trying to get in contention for the big grudge match.

Is it too late to start one in light of Dominic Dale's Shanghai Masters triumph?

Yes but not his 1997 Grand Prix win

Snooker's answer to Murun Buchstansangur is definitely the best player in the world at the moment. At least of the players who know how to find an airport!

The century list of Riga Masters were highly eccerentic reading, even while the outcomes of the matches not so much of so, as per usual lol.

Even I can´t be too unhappy now when both Yan´s and Mark Joyce´s upcoming season started with a bang. I-it was a ranking event after all. Mark Joyce looked fairly decent amongs the balls, as far I was able to see it. Mark Joyce always looks good amongs the black, pink and blue, tbh. Mark Joyce obviously is someone who always is a very likeable snooker player, as he just keeps on thinking the next moves while he´s amongs the balls. And those moves are fairly similar as I am capable to think and to see, which obviously isn´t much anything. But still he´s not taking anything too granted and just keeps on thinking before doinging anything, before opening anything up. So once again a very nice deep run from Mark Joyce, only to completely surrender to Yan and Mark Joyce did bottle it. But it doesn´t matter as it never has anything to do with the lack of a superb playing plan and not being very decent and good amongs the balls. Mark Joyce always is at his most dangerous straight away. The semi/final - stages still requires some practice and thinking from Mark Joyce´s part...

The century list were highly eccerentic reading given how it could had been there and how it usually always is.

Goes without saying, it will get normal straight away.

Many players are feared of labelled as a bottlers and to bottle it, so they give up all the thinking. It is a much wider and bigger "problem". Still not fancing much to watch any or to play any football. The problem still is there. How to deal with those persons who argues they are strong while they never even threating to bottle anything.

Yan is a fairly decent prospect. This final was just a bit surprising after that great Pink Ribbon Allen vs Bingham - final. :win: :pal:  <doh>

The claims and arguments still are strong. As they can´t afford to bottle anything. That´s why the "fast" moves. And the "fast" thinking ,eh. Eh. Eh. And the "fast" and "major" changes, eh. Eh. Eh. Only to each time to discover that the possessing the ball still could be threre. It is there.

But finally had that clean run. Of which I have been writing for ages now. And now finally got it. Only to discover that the Indians, the Chinese, the Asians overally, all the "big guns" also still fancing to have the century list going back to, eh, "normal" sooner than later. But now it is so strong and sure that Mark Joyce WAS there. The consistent mighty incomes always have been there but now it so strong and sure that can afford to take so risks also...

Ha haa. Yan and Mark Joyce now dominating the sport.... Rite. So Yan requires someone to handle the tittle to him?? That´s so far the only evidence and a fact we have had.

And realistically, the heat and the obvious difficult playing conditions had some rather major influence also. Auf, yes. Auf. Order, man, order.

Fine, bucking hell. I'll Google it.

"Murun Buchstansangur was a series of animated shorts produced by Bevanfield Films for the TV station Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. It comprised fifty-two episodes; each was written, directed and narrated by Timothy Forder. The title character was a small blue-grey creature who lived under the kitchen cupboard of a house in an unspecified town."

Jeez, Vodka. Comparing Chinese people to small, grey cartoon characters? <doh>

Irrelevant. He just reminds me of Bingtao because of his shape.
