Women's World Championship (& World Cup)

Postby roy142857

Just noting that the Women's World Championship is reaching it's final stages in Bangkok.

2018 World Champion Ng On Yee was knocked out by rising Thai star Mink Nutcharut (Nutcharut Wongharuthai). (Mink's recent practice 147 was posted on youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktvak3aEzOU )

Double disappointment for Ng On Yee as a few days ago the Hong Kong 'A' team (her and Ho Yee Ki) were beaten in the World Cup final by Thailand 'A' (Waratthanun Sukritthanes and Baipat Siripaporn).

In the World Championship, four Thai players reached the quarter finals. Semi finals (and final) tomorrow

Quarter final results
Reanne Evans 4 - 2 Waratthanun Sukritthanes
Baipat Siripaporn 4 - 3 Rebecca Kenna

Nutcharut Wongharuthai 4 - 1 Ng On Yee
Wendy Jans 4 - 0 Ploychompoo Laokiatphong

EDIT: Just noticed, Wendy Jans hasn't dropped a frame yet.

Aleksandra Riabinina miss qualifacation for Lasr 32 failing to pot the (last) black in decider vs Steph Daughtery.
Ksenia Zhukova losses only to Wendy Jans in group stage and reaches last 32.

These 2 russians girls are 13 years old (for the 1st one) and ... 11 yo for the other.
