Not many players have won the Masters, UK Championship and been in 2 World Finals
No, but he certainly should have won more with the talent he has. The UK Championship was the only ranking event he won.

The overachiever vs the underachiever. Would be nice to see Stevens win, he's a classy player.
Yeah absolutely. I did watch a few matches of Stevens in the late 90's or early 00's. He was such a talented player. Particularly that match against Higgins in the 2002 World Championship was as good as it gets.
Wilson can only dream of playing to that kind of standard.

Stevens is finally 2-0 up against Wilson, after a few minutes full of twists and turns.

Since almost breaking Ronnie's record for youngest ranking event winner last season, Yan Bingtao has only made it past the third round of a tournament once, including zero times this season.

He's still only 18. It's too early to say really.

Probably. Just like most of the young Chinese players who were supposed to be dominating by now.
Speaking of Chinese players, what's happened to Wenbo? He hasn't done anything of note since the 2016/17 season.

Ronnie once said age doesnt really matter. If you're good enough you'll do it at 17 or 18 as well. Given Bingtao has reached a ranking event final in November 2017 it's pretty disappointing what he's been doing since then.

O'Sullivan was clearly talking rubbish. The overwhelming evidence of the majority of player's careers (not just in snooker) is that players are not fully formed as teenagers and show a clear progression as they go through their twenties.
He's probably not in the Hendry/O'Sullivan bracket. But that is a ridiculous standard to use.

I think Ronnie believes that age doesn't matter because he believes that he himself played his best snooker when he was a teenager...

Maybe Kyren is still a bit knackered from all the travelling he's done recently?
He was in Germany on Sunday night.

He lost 10 nil in the World's qualifiers, that was noteworthy

Doubt it. It's what, a two hour flight? And it's Wednesday now. Looks to have pulled a frame back now anyway.

That was after coming within one pot of getting the first ever back to back 147s in the previous round.

Maybe he just felt sorry of Stevens, and gave him a three-nil head start.

Justice For Gilbert destroyed Yan Bigtoe, Yan hasn't really kicked on this season, shame.
Meanwhile my mother is getting too excited at the sight of Machew.

Probably more psychologically drained if anything.
Or still hungover. I know I would be!
