You can definitly see Selby winning it again at some point but i cant see anyone other than him getting close to 7

9 Players on that list with 5 of them Retired or decesed.

His performance at the "BBC events" the past few years has been shockingly poor. He also has a really tough draw this year...

It's his performances, especially at these BBC events that bother me. Selby has been World Number One for about 300 years, and has proven his pedigree at The Masters and at other events.

But he's been patchy by his standards the past couple of years. Not that he can't do it. But I think it's unlikely that he will this year.

Selby will probably end his career with 4 or 5 Masters, similar to the Worlds I think...

But this year I dont he can win. On the other hand, these horrendus BBC performances will end at some point.

Looking forward to it. Sadly wont be there on opening day so hopefully I dont miss a classic match lol...

Looking at the matches I'd say...

Allen wins 6-5
Ding wins 6-4
Day wins 6-4
Ronnie wins 6-3
Selby wins 6-3
Trump wins 6-4
Hawkins wins 6-4
Robertson wins 6-4

Selby hasn't played well at at TC event since his 2017 World Championship win, where he played probably his best ever snooker.

It always surprises me that John Higgins has only won the Masters twice.

He looked so out of place in the draw last month. Before rolling rankings there was at least one player like that every year.

I am enjoying the pre-tournament.

It has an air of anticipation about it that is impossible to recapture once the event has begun, and contrasts sharply with the post-euphoric comedown that is inevitable the day after the event. To summarise, I would rank things as follows:

1. Tournament
2. Pre-tournament
3. Post tournament

Maybe it's just the post-Christmas anticipation for the 2nd half of the season, but this may be my favourite tournament on the calendar.

rubbish behaviour.

I will give it time as they say that time will heal all wounds.

Fucken bastard.

For me that was a concession no if buts or maybe about it.

Genuine question.

All I could find was this:

Conceding
A player may only concede when he is the striker. The opponent has the right to
accept or refuse the concession, which becomes null and void if the opponent
chooses to play on.

I think it relies on decent sportsmanship

In some ways, we're lucky that it doesn't come up more often then.

I'm not sure I entirely blame the referee in that situation. If the rules aren't clear, they aren't clear.
