Indian Open re-scheduled, Macau Masters in October

Postby Deewee

The re-scheduled Indian Open will now go ahead in Kochi from February 27th- 3rd March in 2019.

The event, which was set to take place earlier this month, was postponed due to the devastating flooding in the Kerala region.

Due to this calendar change, the China Open qualifiers have been brought forward and will now be played from February 18th-21st at the altered venue of the Chase Leisure Centre in Cannock.

World Snooker is also pleased to announce a new event taking place this season. The Macau Masters will be held from 24th-25th October. More information to follow.

Why Macau? Well, according to wikipedia, "Macau is the gambling capital of the world. Its economy is heavily dependent on gambling and tourism, with the largest gaming revenue since 2006."
