English Open to be held in Crawley

Postby SnookerFan

to the town.

Taking place at K2 Crawley from October 15th to 21st, it will be the first world ranking event ever staged in the West Sussex town.

The English Open is the first of the 2018/19 season’s Home Nations events, to be followed by tournaments in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It brings together 128 of the world’s top stars, competing in a flat draw with all players needing to win seven matches to take the Steve Davis Trophy.

Now that is interesting.

I went there for the day when they had qualifiers there for the Australian Open. Had a really good day there. Less than 45 minutes on the train to Crawley.

Hearn should get on that.

With the media obsession with those two, it'd bring World Snooker a lot of publicity.

Booked my hotel. :D

Going to travel up Thursday evening after work, watch all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then come back Monday.

Got Monday off to make the epic 40 minute journey home.

Just got to wait until tickets are out now.
