I know Ronnie's a genius, but how will he manage to have two rankings?

I think Yuan Sijun will be in top 16 in five years. I think it is unlikely Jamie Jones will be there.

Reckon Leo Fernandez will be there - already shown his class by beating Ding.
I think 8 of the Top 16 will be Chinese with the Selby, Trump's, Murphy's lurking about. I also think Higgins will be clinging on along with Ronnie if he hasn't finally decided to retire.

Which 8 Chinese players? It seems unlikely to me, it's just five years. Maybe three or four

Every year it is said that half the top 16 will be Chinese in 5 years.

well some might not be on the tour yet but mark my words - you already have BIngtao, Wenbo and Ding. Haotian will be there too.
Plus Guodong, Yuelong, Yupeng,

Of those, I only see Ding and Bingtao as top 16 mainstays, possibly Yuelong as well. Wenbo is too inconsistent and the rest aren't good enough for me. Most of the Chinese prospects on tour seem to be pretty good but not good enough for top 16.

I'll have a serious go also and risk the inevitable mocking:
The next five years could be a very exciting time for the sport with it coming more global. Surely with the likes of Ronnie, Higgins and Williams entering their mid to late 40s and what I class as the 'next generation' (Selby, Murphy and Robertson) starting to decline, finally there will be an influx of younger players coming through? Incidentally those three mentioned players (Selby, Murphy and Robertson) all lost in the first round of this years world championships.
I just cannot see Mark Williams in the top 16 at the age of 48 but we'll see.
1. Judd Trump
2. Ding Junhui
3. Kyren Wilson
4. Yan Bingtao
5. Mark Selby

14. Luo Honghao
15. Sunny Akani
16. Shaun Murphy

In five year's time I think Ronnie will have had enough, but I would love to be proven wrong.

There is a budding 13yo youngster called Ronnie Sullivan from Chipstead. This is not Ronnie O'Sullivan's son who was born in 2007.
https://www.cuestars.co.uk/u21/not-a-ba ... -sullivan/He seems pretty good - but not good enough to be in Top 16 in five years time surely?
