Does it really matter?
For those who want to see abit more snooker, yes.
It's over. Put him out of his misery Mark.

Wiliams didn't hold his hand up for landing plum on the black. Poor sportsmanship.

He could go far with a decent draw, but I don't see him winning it.

I feel the same way. Dott didn't put him under pressure tonight.
Willo is a great potter and breakbuilder, but he can be shut out with good safety. Ronnie and Riggins have proved that many times.

Willo is so good at potting balls from weird angles into those middle pockets

That was to get over a break of 20.

I wouldn't have backed that, even with stolen money.

Is this what it was like to watch Williams at his peak? Every half-difficult pot going straight in the pocket?
I was born too late.

And some posters here actually believe Selbo is better.
Both at their peak, Willo takes it every day of the week.

What a winner. Serious performance. Destroyed a fellow good player. Ruthless snooker. Hats off Mark Williams.

Very considerate of Dott to give the 9-5 brigade time to get everything ready for work tomorrow and maybe catch up with some 'Comedians in cars getting coffee'.
Nice kid this Dott!

True it's a load of coddswallop but i'll watch at least the first quarter to see what the atmosphere is like.

MJW is a serious contender to win the World Championship now in my eyes. Or at least getting something close to his 2011 result (semis).
How many players have played better Snooker than he has done this season? Only ROS did from October to December. Thats it.

I have to be honest, I think Williams was clearly the better player of the two. Selbo has work to do.

Exactly. Selby even struggles to beat post-prime Williams. Prime Williams would have crushed him.

World Championships can take on a life of their own. I wouldn't write Williams off at all, I think he needs a few things to go his way, but they could.
