Re: Best Player Yet to Win a Triple Crown Event?

Yeah I was being facetious as usual.

Carter's one of thise weird players for me where his results never seem to be reflected in the quality of his play when I watch him. I can't remember watching him have an unbeatable session whereas Marco and Hawkins I have. Probably has something to do with my choice.

Marco was the name that instant came to mind, even when Colin Murray mentioned it last night.

It's a pity he became a sitting duck for Thai gangsters. He could've achieved a lot more in the game.

I knew about some of these stories floating around but never knew how true they were.

His main problem was a prime Stephen Hendry.

Wattana gave John Parrott a lot of batterings though!

Actually, Wattana head to head over Parrott was only 12-9, so Parrott must have won a few when I wasn't watching!

I agree. Lee is better than all the players mentioned so far.

He never really got close to winning one though

Yeah, unfortunately for him his prime coincided with a peak Hendry, O'Sullivan, Higgins, Williams, Stevens, Hunter, Ebdon, Doherty...

Well he did get to the Masters final, albeit he got destroyed. 10-3 was it?

That was the closest he got, but even then the result was never in doubt.

Maybe you were Wattana's good luck charm.

Lol!

I am sure I saw a few of Parrott's wins over Wattana but my memory is fading!

Parrott didn't like playing Wattana, nor did he like playing Darren Morgan.
