I'd like to wish Shaun Murphy well in his new role. I hope he does a good job.

A turnout of 17?
Do all 128 tour members get the chance to vote?
Perhaps some of the players with grumbles should look at this next time they have a concern.

What does this mean ?
Can he influence the decisions regarding match lengths ? Will he be able to bring in the shot clock ?
Or is this job simply symbolic and nothing more ?!!????

I think he'll be more a spokesman for the players.

I remember Mark Allen bellyaching on Twitter about something. Can't remember what.
A few fans were getting involved, and saying; "Go on Hearn, explain your decision."
Hearn just went; "Well, maybe you should start attending the meetings to voice your concern."
One fan said to Allen; "Is that true? You never turn up?"
Allen went suspiciously quiet.

I don't remember Mussolini getting a high ranking position in World Snooker.

Mussolini never did get a ranking position in World Snooker but the world game was in ruins at that time to be fair.
He did make a name for himself in Romagna - a region of Italy - in the 1920s but all the fascism stuff got in the way of things. I have articles about him from Campionato di Biliardo magazine in 1913 I think. He played at a National level in five pin billiards, but is believed to be the first Italian player to make an 80 break at snooker

His first raft of suggestions are in and they include:
- compulsory use of the new Toam chalk to avoid kicks
- trainers never to be allowed even if a player carries a foot injury
- all shoes must be either black or brown, not silver or two tone
- steak and kidney pies to be available at all competitions

I think he´s well suited for the job.
He isn´t that much good to anticipate things. I guess. Because he´s a tough competitor, and want´s to have his success on the table. So he can make a clear rules and things like that.
