Might be the strongest in terms of overall strength in depth on the whole Tour, but certainly not the strongest between the Top 16 and certainly not in the Top 10.

That one belonged between 1998-2005.

Do you agree?

Not in the slightest, there's been more than double the amount of tournaments the last few years. 1997-2005 was and always will be IMO snooker's strongest ever era

yes, that sums it up perfectly. In terms of depth is might be the strongest but the players at the top were better back then.

It obviously needs to be said that four all-time greats, three of them legit GOAT-candidates being in their primes and competing in that period played a big role in that. That alone made that era very special.

It was similar like the Federer,Nadal,Djokovic era.

The tables and the balls are very conducive to making big breaks today.

I would say many of today's players wouldn't be able to be competitive if they had played on tables in the 80s and 90s. They have no tactical nous.

More centuries per game in the 2000-2009 though.

0.16 2010-2019
0.17 2000-2009 (every 5.7 matches)
0.12 1990-1999
1.13 1980-1989

Also interesting (at least to me)

5.1 frames per match
6.2 frames per match
7.4 frames per match
8.1 frames per match

buck off, best of sevens!

Frames/century isn't all that better, 31.55 in the 2010s and 34.41 in the noughties (lower number is better). It was 63.32 in the 80s and 63.61 in the 90s, but that was the open era with 400-500 players in all tournaments. That's actually a pretty good rate considering most of the frames were played by the lower ranked players who wouldn't make many centuries. If you only took matches from the last 128 onwards you might even get a better rate than now.
