Plus Ronnie has already won the CoC twice, reached another Final.
Yes prestigious and important event, but the IC carries big ranking money and Ronnie hasnt won a big event in China since 2009.

Ronnie has some thinking to do
I think this will be a close match.
6-4 or 6-5 either way.

Ronnies only chance is of Yan gets nervous.
Yan beat Stuart this season. He knows how to knock out big names.

Beat Selby 4-1 last season too, albeit Best of 7.

Come on, guys, O`Sullivan doesn`t need to win this match. The right thing is to "'pass the torch" to Yan.

Ronnie is more than capable of beating Yan.
Yan is scoring very well atm, so Ronnie just needs to win the safety battle and he'll be ok.

Bingtao is playing really well.
And imo Ronnie's definitely playing better atm than he did last year at this stage and time so thats positive. Scoring more consistently and winning frames in one visit.
If he didn't do well here in this tournament I hope he'll do some damage at the UK Championship but I'm fairly sure he'll win more tournaments this season.
Whether that might be the CoC or not I don't really care tbh. I've always treated that tournament as a poor mans Masters. So would rather see him turning around this match and doing well here in the International Champs and in the post CoC time.

Yeah I'd rather see him win a couple of rankers and get back to number 1.

This event he really should go deep. Plus like I said he already has 2 CoC titles.

or like you said either this or the UK, he really should do well on them, at least 1.

But he has to bear Yan first to go deep. Difficult task atm.

Yan has had a lovely run of the balls so far. Little thing there like taking a stupid plant then Ronnie plays a safety and leaves a perfect gap to pot it. But Yan potting well and should be in the Top 32 by end of the season. Looks the best of the Chinese prospects.

This is going to be one of these games where Ronnie loses 6-1 and then Bingtao registers a 45% pot success in his next match and loses 6-0.

He’s playing ebdon or Walden next, I guarantee he will lose comfortably

Bingtao though seems the type of player who's ready to come through the big ranks.
Ronnie 5-1 down.
I'm not too disappointed.
Yes its the 3rd biggest ranker of the season, but he already has 1 ranker in the bag this season. A defeat here means it's much easier to take as opposed to him not having won anything yet.

Ronnie needs to win 5 on the trot to win the match.
last time he did it was the 2012 German Masters if not mistaken.
