He's a very nice player, but he's also very inconsistent.

The only time i've ever fancied a player for the Worlds this early was Mark Selby back in 2013, when he won the UK in 2012, the Masters in 2013 and was red hot favourite for the Worlds.
Unfortunately for him, that year also began the era of Crucible Specialist Hawkins. He knocked Selbs out, which was a huge surprise.

The Crucible is hard to predict a week before it starts, let alone in January.

In that Big interview with Hendry, Allen said he feels he needs to start losing weight to really take his game forward.
It's not like he's not had good results lately, he has, but let's just say when he was skin his results were better in the TC events.

As a 14 stone man, I have no place criticising another's weight.
Saying that, Allen's weight must play a part stamina wise. It has to.

He said the same thing about his weight either last years masters or the year before, I don't think he's really committed to the idea.
This should be a great match I fancy Allen to take it and set up yet another clash with ROS.

Hopefully Marco wins. If he can play anywhere near what he has lately, i'd have him as favourite.

Ronnie and Allen had only played 4 times prior to this season.
This season alone they might play another 4 if he wins tonight... strange how these things work, given they havent played since 2011...
But first he needs to get past Fu who is playing some of his best Snooker ever.

Did you watch Ronnie's match?
Didn't play well, was fortunate with a couple of flukes, but won the match and that's all that matters to me.

By my reckoning Fu is on a 10 match winning streak...
7 at the Scottish Open, 2 at the GM qualifiers, and his win v Trump on Tuesday.
Fu said post-match winning can become a habit as well as losing so he needs to make the most of the winning side while he still can.

Good evening Andre!
Yeah, Ronnie's not playing too well, was very lucky against Robbo.. But he's still in it so he can still win it. Just needs to up his game a bit.

RANDOM MASTERS MEMORY!
I watched a Wildcard match with a friend, back in the day.
World Ranked 15 Mark Allen played Wildcard Selected Qualifier Judd Trump.
It started at 11am. There were about 12 of us in the crowd. Mark Allen was considered the name. Trump was considered a prospect.
How times change.

I've always found Marco Fu to be a class act. He has a great all round game and is one of the best break builders of all time. Should have won more titles.

Stevens. With his talent, he should have won a LOT more than he has.

Stevens has the masters and uk but should have won much more tough call.

I hate the term undaerchiever. Mental toughness is a big part of the game. If you have talent, but no temperament, you have no divine right to win anything.
