A true Snooker fan like you call yourself should go to all of them, even those in China.

This tournament has gone above the UK Champs in my view in terms of excitment, mainly because of the longer format for the Semis.
The UK Champs still has the history on it's side though plus it's still one of the TC events.

Looking forward to this tournament, great one on the calendar as I said above.
Not high hopes regarding Ronnie, mainly because this is China, and even if on paper he has an easy draw, he somehow manages to screw things up!
He'll have Guodong to start his campaign, and Xiao knocked out Robbo at the English Open from 3-0 down.
Defending Champ Higgins, Ding and Selby have their 128 match opener held over in the venue.

Or as DT would put it: "Ronnie just doesn't look focused out there today."

Yes WIld, when Ronnie goes to China tournaments he gets requested more than any other player to do media stuff, etc etc etc....
When it's time for him to actually play, he tends to look tired and bored. Still, this is not an excuse whatsoever. He has to deal with it, and he's won in China before.

With snooker being an expanding sport internatonally, this boring PR stuff is a necessity. Obviously, it's in China, so hardly a new market. But if we want the sport to grow, that's just the breaks.
Like you say Ronnie being such a popular player, he'll get a lot of focus. As will Ding in China.

Seems continental ES doesn't care much about snooker...well, at least over cycling that is live here. 30km to go!
In the mean time, bet365 it is.
