I like this 'getting players to directly answers tweets from fans in the post-match analysis' thing. It's not like it's a super big deal or anything, but I think it's a nice touch.

It's a bit similar to the Beeb's things that they do at the Crucible, but they usually only get the pundits like Davis and Parrott to answer those / demonstrate on the snooker table.

Just 8 years left of his ban then! <laugh>

Silly man - he was at a level high enough to earn a very good living from the game.

I did a small article on the million pound bonus concept. What are your thoughts on it?

I haven't read your article, but my initial thought was that this bonus will never be won, mainly because snooker is a game played against another player with almost no fixed outcome, balls are in a different place every frame and your opponent has the power to prevent you from winning, there are too many variables that can dictate the outcome of the match.

That's why I don't think it will be won.

Welsh trio:
Mark Williams
Jak Jones
Ian Preece

Ireland's Fergal O'Brien
Scotland's Fraser Patrick
Northern Ireland's Joe Swail and Mark Allen
Thailand's 'Nook' Kiritsanut

Edit:
2 other players through:
China's Xiao Guodong and 'finally' an Englishman - Stuart Carrington!

Blimey, that's a real mixed-bag!

Selby is having an absolute nightmare. His potting is alright-ish, but his safety is dreadful. In particularly, some really, really weird safety shots from him in particular in that 5th frame.

Mind you, Highfield is no better. He's made so many careless mistakes. Mark really could have had a job done on him today.

It's 3-2 to Highfield, but it's extremely scrappy stuff.

But what if Zhao Xintong fancies the £1million bonus prize?
