I have the feeling many people in this forum and several players as well don't really rate him highly. Not just because of the situation with McGill but gerenally he doesn't look like a good ref imo.
What do you think?
I've noticed he's quite slow (definitely slower than his fellow refs, especially to someone like Brendan Moore) when putting the balls (colours) back to their respective spots. And he seems to be moving quite a lot while the players are still playing their shot.

Im quite impressed that he had the bullocks to pull up slow play though.

It's in the Rule Book, although like you it's the first time I've seen it.

I remember Chamberlain once told Fergal O'Brien to hurry up in the Nations Cup. That was on ITV and they were desperate to get to a commercial break.

He's certainly my least favourite. Makes his presence known too much. A good referee should go unnoticed as much as possible.
