Mark Davis and Mathew Selt was the only 4 Professionals that lost a Match

Adam STEFANOW beat Mark Davis 3-1
Tom Ford beat Mattew Selt 3-2
Dominic Dale beat Daniel Wells 3-1
Rod Lawlor beat Mathew Couch 3-0

in the Group Stage these players didnt lose a frame
Ryan Day
Neil Robertson
Judd Trump
Mark Williams
Gerard Greene
Greame Dott
Stuart Bingham
Mark King
Dave Harold
Peter Ebdon
Andrew Higginson
Joe Perry
Ricky Walden
Rod Lawlor

but there was No shows in some groups but its safe to say quality of the Amateurs wasn't that strong but its good experience for them.

Adam STEFANOW was unbeaten in his group so he could be one to look out for. http://www.global-snooker.com/resources ... Groups.pdf

Round-robin is now completed and all pros are through as expected.

Last 64 has started and continues today; here are the current standings

Note that young Ruberg from Israel, 15 yo, is through to last 32.
For those who would wonder why Luca Brecel isn't there ... he's in the final of the under-16 Begian National Championship and the final is played tomorrow in Mol (Belgium). Me and camera will be there. ;)

Dom is in the last 64 and his match probably just started (it's scheduled at 10 am, local time). He should win that one as he is playing an amateur.

I like a bit of Dominic Dale action. I saw him play Liang Wenbo at the Welsh Open. Mark Williams was on the other table, so everyone was there to watch him. There was only me and 15 chinese guys in the 'crowd'.

Quarter Finals

Ryan Day 2-4 Joe Perry
Tom Ford 1-4 Judd Trump
Shaun Murphy 3-4 Mark King
Peter Ebdon 2-4 Neil Robertson

Semi Finals

Joe Perry v Judd Trump
Neil Robertson v Mark King

typical Judd Trump when it truly mattered he could only win 3 frames against Ford today he wins 4 <doh>

typically what ive talked about he cant hack pressure but hes a talented player but when hes relaxed.

So it was lose/lose for him in this tournament then Wild. If he had of lost against an armature you would have criticised him, he beats some decent players and you criticise him anyway.

I saw Trumps name in the semis and I fully expected some sort of comment from wild having a go at him. Have you got a crush on him or something wild? <laugh>

Lots of big breaks, so did Ebdon miss the black for a max? I guess the pockets are playing open, either that or with pressure off the players are going for their shots more.

its not having a go its stating facts ....i hope he reads some of my coments and listens to it and ignores some of your posts before he thinks winning this tournament is the making of him <doh>

i don't believe in feeding egos i believe in kicking the crap out of someone so they improve or end up in hospital.

I am sure he doesn't think that Wild, but your criticizing him whilst he is winning here and beating players. Its been a couple of months now since his loss, maybe he has done some soul searching and is turning the corner
