John Higgins books his place in Romania, after beating Jimmy Robertson 4-3.
Higgins was 0-3 and had been effectively shut-out in those frames - but turned-the-tables and restricted his opponent to just 31 points in the next 4 frames....a game of two-halves!
http://livescores.worldsnookerdata.com/ ... 928/442898Also through to the venue, so far:
Barry Hawkins
Anthony McGill
Ricky Walden

Ali Carter beat Matthew Stevens 4-3 and so did Alfie Burden against Ryan Day.
Burden is ready to enter the top 64 after this success, only at the beginning of the second year of his new tour card.

Confusing how World Snooker list 121 maximums (as does Wikipedia) but the excellent CueTracker has 124!
Could get interesting when the 147th max is on the horizon!

If it's made at a BBC event, they'll get well excited by that.
Knowing the BBC, they'll wait until the 152nd one and mistakenly refer to that one as the 147th.

Great win for Donaldson, keeping his good form from Shanghai going. And a pleasing deciding frame win for Rhys Clark. Encouraging stuff from probably the most promising young Scots on tour.

Sheers for that PoolBoy
The standout match is obviously the rematch of the 2010 Final between Robbo and Dotty.
Ronnie's and Selby's matches Last 64 match held over to the venue.

But, it's a tough school on the Pro Tour.
One day on, and both are hammered in the first round of the next event - the more important International Open!
Donaldson beaten 2-6, with Rhys crashing 1-6.
