I'd imagine Ding will be watching the McManus-Higgins conclusion tonight. Probably hoping Alan can overcome the deficit.
For me, it's huge! I think he'd beat McManus, but I reckon John Higgins would have him!

How did Ding get into form he is having now? He was struggling from 2014/15 season untill this WCH. I really can't find any reason, just remember how he lost to Lee Walker in China Open month ago and now-like heaven and hell. Maybe dropping out of Top 16 woke him up? Can't see other reasons.

Remind me of the rules.
If Ding wins this afternoon, and loses tomorrow, does the World Champion get a Watch thread?

I remember early on, we were thinking about adopting Ng On Yee, the Ladies World Champion (at the time) - like last season we started with Reanne Evans.
Looking to see how that
would have gone:
Ng On Yee 1-10 Peter Lines
Peter Lines 7-10 Michael Holt
Michael Holt 10-8 Mark King
--------------------------------------------------
Michael Holt 10-6 Neil Robertson
Michael Holt 8-13 Mark J Williams
Mark J Williams 3-13 Ding Junhui
Ding Junhui 17-11 Alan McManus
Ding Junhui v Mark Selby
We'd still be following Ding! Albeit via a
completely different route!

It doesn't work like that.
We have to start with a qualifier first.
