I wasn't paying much attention to Ding yesterday when he played that deliberate miscue either. I'll have to watch one of the videos if it online.

But, yeah! The Ding thread reaches match number 6 of a possible 8!
Another poster mentioned that Ding, as a qualifier, would have to win a total of 101 frames to become World Champion - he's now won 4 x 10 frames plus 1 x 13 frame match = 53 frames.
So, despite being in the Quarter-finals, he's just over half-way there!
48 more frames required (13+17+18)

Looking at Ding's record, some would be surprised that this is his 4th quarter-final at the Crucible. He is generally assumed to have a poor record here - but, he's no stranger to this stage. Indeed, he's actually beaten Selby in a Crucible quarter-final before.

He can definitely beat Mark Williams, I feel - and i'd just love to see Ding in the single-table semi-final stage!
