What would happen?

Postby Tonsgalore

Luca Brecel pots a red, snooker himself on all colours, nominates the brown ball but misses, Murphy has the white put back and asks Brecel to play it again. Brecel hits the brown. Murphy at the table.

My question is this. What happens if Brecel pots the brown?
Does he continue his break?

His first break is 1pt. His break is over due to the foul; it's the non-strikers election. If the non-striker asks him to play again, and he pots the brown, his second break is now 4 and counting. He could change the colour and pot the black, break is then 7 and counting. The only occasion I can think of when a break (with reds still left on the table) begins with a colour.
