Absolutely!
Indeed, the whole last-32 draw has a good look about it, with 14 of the top 16 in the rankings still alive! (Walden and Bingham having 'gone')
But, this round and the next are still just first-to-4-frames, so dangerous territory for all the players.
Another 'plus' (for me anyway!) is the number of different countries still represented...11 in the last 32 is good for the game.

I see McManus and co are having a go at the fact Selby and others only started their matches ~10pm. There were unused tables long before that, no excuses for playing that late.

Anyway, good wins for Gould and Selby. The tourney is shaping nicely.

McManus is a tube. All the players need half an hour or so to warm up with a cue, then get dressed. If they do this they'd be picking a cue up at 9am. If they get up and have breakfast at 7-8pm then get to the venue, there's not much time to play with. Unless McManus expects everyone to get up at 6am?

He's not firing at the mo from what I've seen... his purple patch may be over

he wasent firing last year either

From what I remember he didn't have the most difficult of draws last year, but nonetheless, there's no better player in the history of the game than John Higgins at winning with only his B or C game. He has every chance to win it.

This year he has the confidence he didn't have last year so he is a major candidate to win.
