Women's World Championship 2015

Postby davisfan

Just seen that Reanne Evans has lost in the semi-finals, so her ten-year (!) reign as World Champ is over.

That has to hurt. Still, like all champions, her name will always be in the record books and on the trophy.

The semis were made up of two English and two Hong Kong ladies, so there's a potential 100% Hong Kong final; interesting :-)

Semis are a measly best of 7... doesn't seem right somehow.

The last few years the final was held at the Crucible it was the Best of 7 Frames . Last year was Best of 11 for the final

A new champion awaits

That's a shame. I was going to start a Reanne Evans watch thread again.

I took that picture. Debated on publishing it and then thought sod it.

This was taken after Reanne had beaten On Yee in the final 6-0. On Yee is a fantastic person and a worthy successor to Reanne. She has won a couple of the IBSF Ladies World titles and now adds the WLBSA title to her tally.
