One player who can spring a surprise or two is 15yo Finn Patrik Tiihonen. I used to play at the same club as him and it's been great to watch the youngster develop in huge leaps. 6 months ago he had never done a 50+ break in competition and now he's bagging centuries. Plus the little I've seen him play in domestic competitions he seems to have a very cool head and bottle.

The draws been made for this, 9 groups of 6 players and 7 groups of 5 players, I think 4 to go through from each (EBSA website currently shows a link for Last 64). Can't see any of the top players being troubled at the group stage if that's the case. Deepest group (in my opinion anyway!) is one of the 5 player groups, Group L, with 4 good players in Rodion Judin of Latvia, England's Will Lemons, Dominik Scherübl (Austria) and Israel's Maor Shalom - Sashko Dimitrov of Bulgaria likely to be the group whipping boy I'm afraid.
Apparently the tournament is being shown on Maltese TV (TVM2) and they have an outside company (Cuescience) contracted to provide live streaming.

Most players have played 2 or 3 group matches now, British players unbeaten. Ireland's Darragh Cusack struggling, played 3 won none, and another Irish player, Stephen Bateman had a 3-0 loss to Malta's Chris Peplow. More surprisingly, Ireland's Shane Bates lost 3-0 to Filip Bermanec of Croatia. Josh Boileau the only player to have played 4 matches, he's won them all.

L seemed to be rather competitive, with all bar Dimitrov getting two or three wins on the board
Last 64 now up and running from tomorrow. I think we go up to best of 7 now until best of 9 semis and a best of 11 final.

Rodion Judin's a talented player, but surprised to see him beat Josh Boileau.

I have to agree. I believe before the Championships started, Rodion failed to win a match in three previous Euro/U21 Championships. Now he has 4 here and no doubt full of confidence.
It is going to get tough for him now: Adam Stefanow has won both his KO matches for no frames lost (and won 3 group matches for no frames lost too); and a potential meeting with Clark/Kleckers - he is going to have to bring his A game!
Before the competition started, I regarded Josh Boileau one of the favourites. But now we are at the business end of the tournament, I cant really say: "He is definitely going to win!". There is a handful more than capable of winning, and deserving too!

Judin's taken one off of Stefanow, so at least no whitewash.
Looks like a step too far for the two youngest players Chris Totten and Vladu Mihai (both 16), both look out-gunned and have lost their first 2 frames, and looking like losing the 3rd.

It's that stage again where the British Isles players prevail. Interestingly it's Louis Heathcote who reached the final from the bottom half. He only played in 3 PTCs and the last Q-school before, winning 2 matches altogether.
Top half's semi has the much more experienced Lukas Kleckers and Darry Hill. Hope Kleckers can do it.
Now where can I watch?

Not a clue!!!
The game is currently being played, but the score board has been stuck on 2-1 (19-9) to Kleckers for a while now (maybe a safety battle). But the video is showing Heathcote/Craig from earlier for some reason.
EDIT: Ah, the scoreboard has changed haha
