Tough yellow...
...and he misses it.
Still, that's one frame back, and his third century of the match to boot. Three tons and a 96 to win his four frames. If only he could win the scrappy ones.

No such a athomesphere at judds, dings or ronnies matches
You didnt watch the match then and the roar when the yellow went in

Ronnie would be 4-1 down with both of these players with his yeaterdays performance...
So would Robbo and Maguire

I think he meant the jovial banter between the players.

And you could add Selby to that list as well.

lol but when Allen is a protagonist there is always some banter, same with Selby. The most banter I've seen between players was at 2010 Masters Allen v Selby, they were both having fun out there, laughing and all that.

Think they were only talking about winners of matches. I'd add Murphy as well.

I dont understand due to my bad english.
I mean the laughing, Allens being gentleman and the high quality
C'mon guys, even if higgins loses, it is because Allen has played so well. Higgins plays much higher standard than ronnie against walden.

Higgins has probably played better than everyone else except Fu, despite some of his slip ups.

OK then, yes Higgins has played better than Ronnie, there is no doubt about that.
But like I said Robbo, Mags and Murphy would all be 4-1 or 5-1 down if they were playing Higgins like he is here.

And Higgins only makes 20 and absolutely nothing safe now. Looks like 6-4 Allen from here.

Same goes for allen. Crazy player, good way. And what a character. Hate it or love it. Like a boxer.

allen strong favourite to be only one to stop ronnie here, unluckily allens style is not suited to be played against ronnie

Personally I think his top level is just a bit under the likes of Judd, Robbo and Ding, which'll cause him to become unstuck later on in the Worlds.

And 6-4 it is. Easily the best match so far.
Hope the rest of the tournament carries on like this, been a tad lacklustre quality wise so far.

First of all Ronnie has to produce some good stuff. He wasn't anywhere near his best yesterday.
Playing like this again and it could be very tough against Fu.

I dont think so. He has won majors and he is getting mature. I think he will make it. He does not seem like an opportunist like hawkins

Allen hasn't won any bigger events than Hawkins (2 World Opens v 1 Aussie Open and 1 PTC Grands). Definitely no majors.

It was good to see Higgins play well again, but unfortunately 3 crucial misses cost him this match really.
Firstly, the green on the 4th frame when he was on 50 break and on his way to a 3-1 lead, secondly, his missed red with the rest in 4th frame also, and thirdly, the missed red in the 8th frame when he could have leveled at 4 all.
Allen made the most of those errors from Higgins and won both frames on the black, and that hurt Higgins.
If Allen carries on like that he'll be hard to stop.
