I am just looking to see how to get to Sheffield, flying into Manchester would seem the obvious, if anybody thinks different let me know. From there I would imagine the train, if anybody has any info I would be very grateful. Thanks

Stephen Hendry may be difficult to get at The Crucible, I had that problem last year. Just to warn you.

I am thinking of going to the John Higgins match, but am going to try and persuade somebody to come with me first, then decide what matches I want to go and see.

In all seriousness, I've never tried.

But, the only time I've ever had trouble was with Stephen Hendry, for what it's worth.

What matches you going for? I am there Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Asked for four matches. John Higgins, Marco Fu, Joe Perry and Ali Carter. Ali Carter is there to make up the numbers more then anything.

I meant I picked him because I wanted to go to one extra match, but I guess your meaning is equally correct. <laugh>

But then didn't Dott win it two years after Ronnie beat him easily in a final? Sign?

Snookerfan, when do they usually notify you of which matches you have got?

Re: World Championship booking form

Postby Roland

I'll do the usual and wait for eBay. It's not worth it until you know who has qualified. And I will be bagging front row seats on those one sided matches because the best seat in the house is front row watching the match on the other table with curtain raised.

When the money disappears out of your account usually. <laugh>

You get sent the tickets towards the end of January. It's only then that you see whether you've got the tickets you want or not. I've never had any trouble though, apart from last year when I wanted Stephen Hendry tickets and got Graeme Dott vs Barry Hawkins. I ended up paying twice as much for Stephen Hendry on an auction site. <doh>

It's a pain in the bottom when you consider half the people at The Crucible wouldn't cross the road to watch snooker at any other time.

I'll be going for the semis. I would go for the whole tournament but until they reintroduce the season ticket offer I am a little inclined to pay 3 times as much as others who still get their season tickets.

You cannot beat walking into the arena to the one table setup. It sends shivers down my spine.
