That is the Beauty of the tour today it means you dont need to watch everything.

Back 5 years if you missed one event you wouldn't see Snooker for best part of 3 Months.

Yeah, that's my plan. :D

Btw, they aren't selling tickets for the pre-qualifiers day, is that day free or there is no crowd? Not sure how that usually works.

Didn't know that, good news. I'm full of uni work to do, but I'll have to find some time to support our portuguese players. It would be great if at least one of them gets to the last 128.

Aaaah skiving off uni work to watch snooker. I remember that.

The good old days where if I wanted to have some beer and watch snooker, I didn't have to book time of work. I just didn't bother doing any revision. :D

I was hoping to be at Casal Vistoso tomorrow all day supporting our Tugas, but maybe I can only go there at like 5pm. It would be great if there were lots of Rod Lawlers between the amateurs and the session goes on until late :mosh:

Ha dont worry Renato, play will probably only finish about midnight or even 1 a.m, it's always like that in these amateur rounds. And don't know if you know this already, but Trump and Wenbo will give an exhibition at Casino Lisboa tomorrow night, about 10 p.m. Should be great fun watching those 2 there.

I heard about it, sounds like a fun to kick-off this weekend.

I'm just a bit worried about the crowds, because I feel only the "big" snooker fans know this is happening. When I bought my ticket yesterday the girl told they only had sold 300 out of 900 tickets for Saturday.

On Sunday though tickets are almost all sold out, Best Seats are sold out already and there arent many left for Sunday, Saturday and Friday as you say there should be quite a dew still left, but the crowds will be good I think, hoefully anyway.

Just left the arena, and this match ended like 30 minutes ago. The started at around 12:30 so they were playing for 5 HOURS! Yup, this is ending really late.

During the almost 3 hours I was there, I don't remember seeing a break over 20. On both tables I was watching. But that was kinda entertaining because every single ball felt like a final black or something.

It is also very strange not having any scoring system, so it's really hard knowing how are the points going and even who are the guys playing. But there were lots of people in the crowd supporting our guys, not bad!

This victory by João Grilo means we will have at least one Portuguese on the last 128, because his 2nd round match is against another portuguese! I think this is the second time ever we have one of out guys on the final stages.
