Monday 8th~Sunday 14th of September at the Shanghai Grand Stage, China

So the conclusion of the first round of the Shanghai Masters has resulted in nine of the seeded players going out, including five time World Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan

However, still in the mix are current World Champion Mark Selby and defending champion Ding Junhui. Will they go on to win the event or will one of the other seeds take advantage of the easier draws?

Or is it possible we'll have a surprise winner?

Right still no confirmation of the TV matches of the second session. I'll assume they're going to pick Ding's match as one and last I heard, they were still deciding between Zhao Xintong and Selby's matches. Selby's the sensible choice, so I'm going to assume they've picked the other match.

Possibly Zhao Xintong is the next really big thing to come out of China.

Already he has a better record than Zhou Yuelong and he hasent been on the Main tour yet

Zhou reached 2 last 32 as a Wild Card in 9 tournaments and he got a walk over in 1

Zhao has already reached 3 last 16 and 3 Last 32 as a wild card in the 11 tournaments he played.

7.30am

Michael White 4-2 Ryan Day
Mark Allen 4-1 Mark Williams TV
Dominic Dale 0-4 Stuart Bingham
Graeme Dott 3-1 Shaun Murphy TV

Looked like a whitewash for Allen but Allen plays a careless positional shot on the pink and goes in off.
