Imagine Neil Robertson plays Matthew Stevens in the final.
They'll have played in a ranking event final in Australia and Bahrain.

Aussie open isn't a one off event like Bahrain.

They show repeats of matches throughout the day so I don't see why they can't do that with the final, there is no excuse, if you're going to commit to something do it properly, I can't believe they charge extra for this channel.
So it would be better not to show 20 hours of Live Snooker then?

It's like showing a horse race up to the point just before they finish, how can you defend that? Do you work for ES or something?
Imagine sitting down with ES and agreeing to televise a sporting event, could you see someone going "Yeah, we are going to showcase the whole tournament but for some arbitrary reason we're not going to stream the first session of the final, that ok...?"

It's annoying, but Wild's right.
What are you going to do about it? ITV, BBC, Sky Sports. None of these channels are interested in showing the Australian Open. Check the BBC website, they're barely interested in posting results. Let alone showing it. Without Eurosport, we'd get a lot less snooker not more.
Nobody is suggesting we want to miss the final. Or it's a desirable event. Just on the flip side, without Eurosport there'd be bugger all snooker on at all.

Without Eurosport = first tournament will be Champion of Champions in November
Without Eurosport = 64 days of snooker in 2014/2015
With Eurosport = 140 days snooker in 2014/2015
in the last 2 weeks eurosport has actually shown 60 hours live snooker that's more than whats been given to the World cup in the same time period.

Xiao Guodong reaches only his second ever World Ranking semi final and his 5th semi final in all having reached 3 PTC Semi finals losing in all of them.
The only other semi final outside China before was in 2011 PTC 2 in Gloucester where he lost 4-3 to compatriot Ding Junhui.

Joe Perry has played 18 matches and has won 15 this season it just highlights the difference to how the tour was prior to 2010/2011.
in 2009/2010 season Joe Perry won 10 matches in 24 played.

Utter carelessness from Milkins. Checked the pack for plants and knocked a red straight in from the split anyway. Was looking good for the frame until then.
