The 2 Wild cards are Matthew Bolton who has never played on the pro tour but he reached the last 32 of the World Amateur Championship in 2013 losing to Lee Walker in a tournament that was won by Zhou Yuelong and therefore gave him a place on tour.

The Other Wild Card isnt Shaun Dalitz as was first thought but Johl Younger who has spent 4 seasons on tour 1996/1997, 1998/1999, 2002/2003 and 2003/2004 reaching a career high ranking of 88 for the 2003/2004 season.

His best run was in the 2003 World Championship where he reached the last 64 Beating Adrian Gunnell 10-7 and Jimmy Michie 10-3 on route before Robin Hull beat him 10-6. The best known player that he has beat was a young Stuart Bingham back in 1998.

Younger was the 1st alternate, but no idea why no Dalitz ... and TOMORROW's Bendigo Advertiser (bear in mind the time difference) still says Dalitz is playing, so the information hasn't reached them yet. EDIT - must have been last weeks, although it says 8th June at the top of the article, it says 29th May at the bottom ...

Neil Robertson will be going to Australia full of confidence knowing he not only won in Wuxi but he hardly got out of 2nd gear most Week.

Im sure he had one eye on Australia and i do expect a higher standard from him next week.

Mark Allen 2-5 Fergal O'Brien
Matthew Stevens 3-3 Luca Brecel

O'Brien wins a scrappy 7th to claim that match and a last 16 match with the winner of Stevens-Brecel. Allen meanwhile goes home not adding any points to his world ranking.

Ryan Day 3-5 Mark Joyce

10am

John Higgins v Tom Ford Live on Eurosport
Ricky Walden v Marcus Campbell

Mark Joyce beating Ryan Day was a bit of a surprise and considering many players missing and recieving zero points as a seeded loser Ryan missed a golden opportunity to push towards his first ranking title and put himself in the frame for a place in the masters.
