isn't that the same thing as Ronnie is doing.

Well, if the opt out is permanent, isn't it the same as quitting? Even if it isn't, if he takes too long out, he could end up out of the top 64 by the end of the season and then he won't have much choice whether it's permanent or not.

He doesent mention permanent.

The way i read it is hes opted out of the pro tour to play in the 6 reds thing (buck knows why though <doh> ) and then he will be back for the shanghai masters.
