I said it at the start of the season and I'll say it again. We have 4 major forces in the game at the moment who can all beat each other on any given day.
World Champion: Selby
Masters Champion: Ronnie
UK Champion: Robbo
IC Champion: Ding
And all of them won one of the biggest 4 titles this season.

Your man showed the rest of tour what match snooker was.
O'Sullivan is a flat track bully who doesn't expect anyone to stand up to him.
Maybe these mental midgets will stand up and be counted from this point on.

It's significant. Selby has shown that Ronnie is beatable if you can stop him from playing. Other big names will take note. It's like when Doherty lead the way in showing Hendry was beatable.

We'll see. I remember just over a year ago some thought there was a big four of Robbo, Selby, Higgins and Trump.
If these four can keep it up for another season, then I'll think about it.

Means that Judd is now the only WN1 not to have been World Champion.

Robbo and Selby are the 2 Premier players.
They are a credit to the game.

Apparently Selby is even more happy because he beat Ronnie in the final. To beat Robertson and Ronnie back to back in 4 session matches, no one can argue with that. Especially that finish from 15-14.

I said before the final, the only other person to have beaten the number one and two seeds at the Crucible was Dennis Taylor (and his opponent had the Saturday off as well).

Does that mean Mark Selby is now the new Dennis Taylor?

Good win but I'm not sure it automatically means Selby will be any harder to stop next season than also the other top players in the rankings. I think it's game on and that's all really.
I find it unlikely that any single player will dominate the next year.

Maybe his fans hate Selby in the first place because he beats Ronnie in big matches?
