With 2 Tuesday matches not happening due to withdrawals they could move him to tuesday but it wont be any longer than that.

Of course he could withdraw himself and really who can blame him

Usually I would not want robbo to go deep in this one but I think its an exception this time.

Last year pre worlds

Masters - final
Germany - semis
Welsh - last 16
world open - semis
Ptc finals - runner up

compare to this year

Masters - quarters
Germany - last 32
welsh - last 32
world open - last 16
ptc finals - last 32

So I think the fact that he has played far less snooker post new year this season means a big run in china wont harm his chances at the crucible.

His Confidence wont be high though he really needs a run in china.. at the moment he is forgotten about and wont be putting the willies up anyone in the first round draw.

Jimmy White bests David Morris 5-2 and a very important win for him and puts him in a great possition to keep his tour place.

Fellow Legend Steve Davis is in 65th spot in the Money Ranking list and therefore has to win a match at the World Championship or his time on the Tour is over unless he Qualifies in Q School or Barry Hearn throws him a old Fart Wild Card.

I think these withdrawals are quite poor, to be honest. Everyone is entitled to make the tactical choice and avoid the last travel before the WC, but then they shouldn't enter the event in the first place!

It has left the draw very unbalanced, with Maguire and Allen withdrawing from the same little section, and Selby's whole quarter is just silly. In other parts of the draw you have the likes of Williams and Robertson possibly meeting in the 2nd round. Not exactly fair, is it? This tournament did not deserve this.

No thanks to Live scoring breaking down. Graeme comes through a typically bogged down match with M'cleod 5-4 from 3-1 down. On to another grinder in Harold next. Oh joy .lol

Harold isn't too bad. Pleased Graeme showed patience in coming back from 3-1 against one of his favourite players.

I was talking to him on the phone from the airport and said to him. "remember, be patient" and he laughed and said he would, well for the first five minutes anyways.

On the other hand it's poor of the Association to have this Tournament so close to the WC Qualifiers that it can't count for seeding purposes for the WC. All Tournaments should count. Mark Williams, Graeme and Robert Milkins all had a chance, with a run in this to have qualified by right but that chance was taken away from them by what I can only assume was incompetence in scheduling.

Zhao Xintong beats Sam Baird 5-2 to face Mike White in the last 64. Must be getting on tour soon, seems like he gets at least one win in every tournament he's been a wildcard in.

He actually played in all four Chinese tournaments prior to this one this season, and lost his wildcard match three times. But he did have that great run in the International Championship, which included 6-1 thrashings of Steve Davis and Barry Hawkins. :-)

Snooker Overdrive wrote:Robbo survives a decider. 5-4 against Hamilton.

SO did you watch the end?

Robbo was visibly ill, after he had won it he looked at Hamilton and didn't even want to clear the table, Hamilton duly conceded the match and Robbo just sat down, as if dizzy and breathing very heavily.

He didn't look well at all at the PTC Grand Finals, and it appears his condition hasn't improved at all.

If he doesn't improve he should really consider pull out as to not worsen his visible illness.

Apparently it's flu but don't know the exact details yet.

Already some saying is flu the new burnout excuse? :john:

But jokes aside, if he isn't well he should consider pull out if he's to stand a good chance at the Worlds.

HE is crazy to be at this tourney with the flu. Ill be expecting another first round knock out at the worlds if this is true,
