Good stuff from Gilbert. Would be nice if he had a run in this.

Grew into it, good performance. 3 snookers needed, still playing at the minute.

And Selby out officially now.
Looks like Ronnie will have an especially easy route to victory this week. No Ding, Robbo or Selby.

Or maybe not. Still very tall order. Needs four snookers.

Typical Selby. The match is over Mark, give up already.

He's clearly wants to finish after Fergal and Holt.

Selby should withdraw from the China Open. He looks drained and uninspired, he needs to take a couple of weeks off I feel.

Why does Selby keep doing this to himself?

The Torturer at work. Wonder who he's torturing the most, the audience, Gilbert or himself...

He did this against Murphy too, clear desperation!

Feel you're right. He even considered not entering but changed his mind.

I told him in Berlin he should skip China but he said it would put too much pressure on Sheffield because in a way it's bigging it up and adding pressure. Then he mentioned that him and Robbo were in the final and both went out early in Sheffield, then he mentioned that it was even less time this time around between the two events. Yet he still entered China.

I know him to speak to, yes. I know a few players that way, one of the perks of getting access to the media room at certain events and going to venues to watch live.

What was the biggest upset, Ding losing 4-3 from 3 nil up or Selby losing 4 nil?

Yeah agree but he'll play in China so we shall see how much that effects him at the Crucible.
