I Agree with you it is patronizing but that's life they want to show their players on their TV Channels...

Trump is going down the same path Maguire went on after he Burst on the Scene in 2004 lets hope he snaps out of it sooner than Maguire did

John Higgins 2-6 *Matthew Stevens*

Flippppppppppppppppppppin eck!!.

How on earth did Stevens beat Higgins!.

In all seriousness though,it,s no surprise at all is it,Higgins has been struggling for ages, many matches he,s somehow managed to scrape through and we all know why that is,it,s his B,C,D game along with his determination, grit, patience thats been his saviour, his A game he,s only shown in patches.

The scraping through aint gonna get easier, and i,ve said it before and i,ll say it again,he,s not gettin any younger.

One thing thats struck me bout John for a good while now though,is that he does,nt look as determined as he used to be,you would think the age he is would actually make him more determined as he knows full well that the decline clock is ticking and it won,t get easier.

If he really has any chance of winning anymore titles, breaking any records, then he really is gonna have to make the best of this latter stage of his carreer!.

In sayin all that,i still would,nt write him off yet though,he aint called "The wizard of Wishaw" for nothing,he still might pull out some magic the next few seasons.

how did Stevens win you ask sir ?

He won more frames than soggy haggis

Looks like the early morning matches went as expected, with the exception of Stevens. Surprised, but well done. Looked like a bit of scrappy match, with 50+ breaks in less than half the frames, according to live scores. Hope he plays well against Ding to make up for the lack of Higgins v Ding.

Also :hatoff: Maflin beating MJW, and pretty comprehensively as well. Doesn't get any easier from here as he has Dott next.

And nice to see that Xiao is pushing on after his final in Shanghai.

I see from the live scoring details that Graeme played very well against Kyren Wilson, who I am told is pretty highly thought of. Breaks of 121, 86,93 and 60 helped toward the 6-1 win.
Maflin next, who is a bit of a fizzer, so we'll see what happens.

to beat Kyren 6-1 he must have played extremely well and he did apparently.

About time Graeme got back on Track.
