Why are there only Chinese and Scottish players in this tournament?
At least it seems like that at first glance

Wenbo wins 4-0. Good for him. But these Asian PTCs don't have the stiff competition of the European PTCs.

Well done Liang. Would've liked Lu Haotian or Xiao to have won, but
Think this means there's been a Chinese player in the last five finals (excluding that shot clock exho by pensioners).

But it still shows the strength in depth if John Higgins, Mark Selby or Graeme Dott still cant win them.

Competition's not quite as stiff, but there's roughly 15 to 20 of the Chinese amateurs playing consistently at or near the level of the Pros ranked below the top 64 (mainly those doing well on the Asian Order of Merit, but would add in one or two other players e.g. Wáng Línhàn who kept losing 4-3 in his opening matches this year), which means the top players can only win these Asian Tour events if they're on their game.

In the Semi finals Anthony McGill went 2-0 up with breaks of 82 and 75 before Liang Wenbo hit back with Runs of 87 and 76 to go 3-2 up, McGill then leveled the score with a break of 62 and in the decider Breaks of 51 and 52 sealed Liang with a place in the final his first final since 2010 EPTC 3 in Germany.
Second semi final Xiao Guodong went 3-1 up with Breaks of 70, 82 and 70 but not to be denied Lyu Haotian won the last 3 frames with Breaks of 56 and a 69 in the decider and at the age of 15 the youngest player to reach a Professional Final .
In the Final the first 2 frames was close and Lyu Haotian had chances but frame 3 and 4 Lyu Haotian scored just 2 points as Liang Wenbo made breaks of 90 and 61 to win 4-0 and only his second title having previously won the 2009 Beijing International Challenge beating Stephen Maguire 7-6 in the Final

Glad that Wenbo finally won his first pro title carrying ranking points. For a long time I always thought he was the number 2 chinese player after Ding, especially when he reached the final of the Shanghai Masters when he lost to Ronnie.
But after that he went way down the rankings and couldn't produce that sort of form again, when he also reached the quarters of the Worlds losing to Ronnie again in 2008. Now I think Goudong has slightly overtaken him, but this win will surely give him the confidence Wenbo needs and it's never too late to start playing well again.
The Far East really have been on a high so far this season, let's see if that is to continue.

Wasn't their some talk a few years back with people predicting Liang would overtake Ding as China's Number 1?
