Indian Six Reds Open (8-11 Sep) & Championship (17-25 Sep)

The Mukesh Rehani Memorial All India Open 6-Red Tournament will be held in New Delhi from 8th - 11th September.

The 2013 Indian Six Red Championship will be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from 17th - 25th September, Reigning champions are Shivam Arora (Mens) and Arantxa Sanchis (Womens).

Other entries in the National Championship include Manan Chandra, Laxman Rawat, Kamal Chawla and Alok Kumar in the Mens and Chitra M and Vidya Pillai in the Womens.

Don't know if this was prior planning to conveniently giving their players practice before the IBSF World Six Reds in October, or just a coincidence ...

Don't know specific results, but the Mukesh Rehani Memorial All India Open 6-Red Tournament was won by Pushpender Singh against a field of competitors that included Shivam Arora, Sundeep Gulati, Akshay Kumar, Nitesh Madan, Varun Madan, Vipin Premi, Harpreet Singh and Anuj Uppal.

Defending Champion Shivam Arora has crashed out at the group stage of the Indian National Six Red Snooker Championship, suffering a 4-0 loss to K.S. Naveen Kumar and a 4-2 loss to Rahul Sachdev. Arora wasn't the only top seed and Indian Open qualifier losing out, also going home (by a single frame on frame difference) is Sundeep Gulati. Another Indian Open qualifier in danger is Faisal Khan, having lost 4-2 in his group match with Michael Rebello. And in Group K top seed Alok Kumar lost 4-3 to bottom seed Amit Gupta.
